The 2020 Alfa Romeo Stelvio’s Lane Keep Assist utilizes a windshield-mounted camera to observe vehicle road position and lane markers. If you pass over a detected lane marker and no turn signal is active, torque is automatically applied to the steering wheel and a visual warning appears in the instrument cluster display in order to gain your attention. Optionally, an audible signal may play, as well. All told, the technology works to keep your mind on the road and to cut down on unintended lane departures due to inattention, drowsiness, etc.
Lane Keep Assist can be toggled on and off by pressing the button on the end of the multifunction lever extending from the 2020 Stelvio’s steering wheel.
